The Cervical Thoracic Orthosis, (CTO) is a fully MRI compatible, four-post, cervicothoracic device that provides a high degree of motion restriction in not only the cervical spine, but also the upper thoracic area (i.e. C7-T1 and T1-T2) as well. The Aspen CTO has been designed with breathable, replaceable padding at all interface points. The pads are washable and can be replaced so that the occurrence of decubitis ulcers or skin breakdown is reduced and/or eliminated. The Aspen® Cervicothoracic Bracing System provides a fully integrated approach for quantifiable motion restriction of cervical spine patients by incorporating design elements that allow the Aspen System to be “stepped down” from a 4 post CTO, to a 2-post model and then to a stand alone collar. This allows the Aspen Cervicothoracic Bracing System to be configured to provide the exact motion restriction required for each patient as they transition through recovery.
